    This is thread number 4 of 4. Please also take a look at my threads about rewards. Faction Wars and Survival. Club events. PVP rewards.

    Sometimes it seems like there is too much time between events. Not enough going on to keep me logging in. There have also been times in the past when club events were too close together, not allowing enough recruitment/maintenance time. The break between club and non-club events is not so critical. I also don’t want to risk burn-out by having non-stop events right after each other.

    And then there is the question of start times. The game has players from around the globe. Work and school schedules also come into play. Perhaps start times should be a little more flexible to give different players an opportunity for an event to fit their timeframe.

    We had one CVC event not too long ago where the brackets were only 2 hours long. It was an interesting change. It was pretty intensive but my club did pretty well with it. I don’t think I would like short brackets like that very often but it did open the possibility of shortening CVC brackets. I have heard complaints that some people dump all their AP in the first bracket, when the opponents are easy, and then don’t play much for the rest of the event. To me, that is a possible sign that the brackets might just be too long. I would be in favor of shortening CVC brackets to 6 hours instead of 8.

    I have all of the events with a 48 hour duration, not too long so that we don't get burned out, not too short so everyone can play. I have faction wars and survival starting immediately after club events. This way, club leaders can do recruiting and maintenance while players are still actively logging in. Then there is a one day break before the club events start. And finally, the start times shift by two hours after every cycle of four events. The current start time of 20:00 GMT will be the most common but my schedule follows a pattern of 18:00, 20:00, 22:00, 20:00, and then back to 18:00. Rinse and repeat.
